During the summer of 2017 I ran a crowd fund campaign to secure the purchase of my Olympic Equestrian partner, Cooley Rorkes Drift. I needed to raise £500k in a little over one month to avert the sale of the horse that I had trained and worked with for six years, nothing like this had been done on this scale before, anywhere in the world.
I needed to build a website, that would host this campaign, the site would need to both explain the story, appeal to the potential donors and capture the donations. On the 9th of August 2017 the counter on our website, so fantastically built and hosted by Roxzanne ticked over to £500,000 and the curtain came down on what has been an extraordinary time for both my team and the equestrian community as a whole.
